The sun was setting on the Florence countryside, and William hadn't half a clue where he was heading. His fast life had left him little time to relax and just disappear from his 9 to 5.
And he already felt like he had driven for over.
It had been twenty-four days of meandering down the French asphalt (and quite often just cobblestone). He needed a break. And when he finally opened the letter his mother left him he knew that his time had come. He knew that he needed no further signs. He knew that he found his calling. Not love. Not God. Not Family. Not friend. Not in your storybook.
He knew what he wanted. He knew what he needed. He didn't know what it was. Not exactly. But his mother always knew. And he knew that she would have something for him someday even though he left her earlier in life.

well, i've decided to make a list of things i wanna do before i die.
1) watch man utd at old trafford.
2) meet lukas rossi.
3) tattoo of my wife's name on my right arm.
4) bring my sister out for an expensive lunch.
5) my voice on radio
6) i'll get nannan a chandelier (she always loved them, but never could afford one.)
6) buy my dad a house.
7) retire in europe.
8) 2 kids, ethan and kirsten.
9) this is the most important one to me.
on my honeymoon, i will drive from Rome, Italy all the way to Santorini, Greece on my rented pink Vespa. my wife will hold on tightly to the lapels of my aviator jacket . she will be very pretty. my ray bans will shield my eyes from the sun, wind, and sea spray. she will wear a red cardigan over her tank top with a very short denim skirt. and i will drive slow at noon and slower at dusk. every night we will set sleeping bags and make love under the skies. her face will be lit by the Greco-Roman stars and Eros will smile upon us.
and when i retire, my wife and i will do this.
all over again.
